LA MESA SOAP BOX DERBY
It's the 6th Annual Drew Ford Kiwanis Club of La Mesa Soap Box Derby Race on Saturday, June 7, 2008, where the top three winners (stock, super stock and masters) will be sent to the National Derby in Akron, Ohio. Registration will begin at 7 a.m.
Youngsters ages 8 to 17 wishing to enter the race should contact Dennis Wilkes at 619-469-7353 for registration information. Each driver must participate in the building of his or her own racer from a kit. A car-building clinic will be held at Drew Ford on Saturday, May 19th.
