Annual CityFest Fair Celebrates 25
Years on August 10th!
Hillcrest, San Diego, July 2008: The Hillcrest Business
Association is pleased to announce this year’s CityFest Arts and Crafts Fair
will be held on Sunday, August 10th from 10am to 7pm. CityFest
typically draws over 100,000 people to Hillcrest, in the uptown area of San
Diego, on the second Sunday each August. This year’s CityFest will also be
including the annual Hillcrest Book and Literacy Fair, making this year’s event
even bigger than before. Bookseller’s
Alley will run from Brookes Place to Anderson Place, and include a Literary
Salon with author readings in a quiet, coffeehouse-style atmosphere. The
CityFest event includes over 250 booths stretching for one mile down Fifth
Avenue, including vendors, services, food, and music. The venue runs from
University Ave to Upas St at the corner of Balboa Park, and music stages cap
each end of the festival. Music
headliners include, on the North Stage: Theo and Zydeco Patrol, Sue Palmer,
D.A. and the Hitmen, and the Bayou Brothers with Michele Lundeen. On the South
