The Worldview Press is proud to announce an exciting event that San Diego has never seen the likes of before!  The 1st International Women Go Kart Grand Prix, to be held on October 5, 2008 at 12 PM at the K1 Speed Circuit in Carlsbad, CA.  The Grand Prix will feature 15 young women from over 10 different countries representing the wonderful ethnical and cultural diversity we enjoy here in San Diego.  Proceeds from the event will help support The Worldview Press a local 501(c)3 nonprofit educational organization that is dedicated to increasing awareness, knowledge and appreciation of cultural diversity.

 

The Worldview Press achieves its mission through the development anthropologically informed multi-cultural books, magazines and resource materials for children and adults. The mission of the Worldview Press is to help to create better understanding of cultural lifeways and patterns found throughout the world.  The Worldview Press is a tax-exempt 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation, including the weekly online magazine, The San Diego Participant Observer.  Through the Participant Observer, San Diegans stay informed about upcoming international or multicultural events, international movies and recipes, places to stay as well as places to go and much more. In addition to publications, The Worldview Press also produces events that celebrate cultural diversity and awareness.

 

In addition to fabulous and exciting go kart racing several local companies and organizations will be presenting their selves at the event.  Lastly delicious food from Joey’s Smokin’ BBQ Restaurant will be served at the event and 50% of the proceeds will go to The Worldview Press.  Kids are welcome!

 

Attendees will also have the chance to bid on several items in a silent auction, including spa treatments, ethnic food & movie basket and more. A raffle for a valuable prize will be held.
